Faarn is ruled by Mage Queen Isabella III. A council made up of representatives of each area of Faarn keep her informed of the peoples interests and ideas. She rules from her keep in the floating capital of Faarn, Delfern. Transport to Delfern is limited due to its flying qualities but it is a grand city of trade, culture and learning. The mage school I s currently trying to put up an invisible magic barrier to stop people falling off the edge after the number of fallers increased by ¼ its number last year.
Orc’s Bane: Orc’s Bane is an independent keep setup by one of the adventures that rid Faarn of the necromancer. Clan Stoneshield holds this keep. They focus on trying to rid Dawn’s Rise of the orc and goblin trobes that plague both them and Faarn, their oldest and dearest ally. Trade has been active between Orc’s Bane and Faarn for many years and some of the best equipment in the east comes from Orc’s Bane via Faarn. Storn Stoneshield is currently Clan King.
Silver Peck is a stopping point for non-military persons who have things to do up at Silver Peck Fort. The best weapon and armorsmiths in Faarn can be found here. The village has no personal guards as the village looks after itself. If someone breaks the law the locals capture them and drag them to the fort, that over looks the village from a cliff ledge, for trial. The famous tavern of “The Anvil and Hammer” is known even by the nation that shares Faarn’s northern border.
